Descripción
(De la introducción Claudia Salomon)
I was very honored to be giving this year’s Grotius Lecture especially during the Centenary year of the ICC International Court of
Arbitration. As we celebrate a century of the ICC Court’s existence, I want to focus on the role that international arbitration plays in promoting peace and prosperity. However, it will not suffice to limit ourselves to the 100 years marked by the establishment of the ICC Court. We must trace back over 400 years to Hugo Grotius, the very namesake of this lecture.
